About the position

The Oncology Clinic RN position at Baylor Scott & White Health involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a procedural setting. Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and prioritize their needs based on clinical judgment.
  • Develop and adjust personalized care plans for better patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patient responses and communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Delegate tasks to other staff according to Texas nursing laws and patient conditions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and track nursing practice indicators.
  • Teach patients and staff, integrating education into care at all levels.
  • Contribute to decision-making and recognize the contributions of others.

Requirements

  • Must have ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certification.
  • Willingness to obtain Oncology Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Accredited nursing program or a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
