About the position

AdventHealth Kansas City is seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused neurohospitalist to join its busy existing group of physicians. This position involves providing a full range of neurology care, which includes neurologic consultations, electromyography, and Botox for chronic migraine management. The neurohospitalist will participate in a 1 in 2 call rotation shared with other hospitalists, with two additional neurologists available to take call as needed. The call schedule consists of 24-hour shifts, covering both inpatient and outpatient clinic calls at night, specifically from Friday 7am to the following Friday 7am. The neurohospitalist will manage an average of 10-15 daily inpatients and can expect to handle 1-2 evening calls per week, which may include outpatient clinic evening calls. Candidates for this position must be well-trained, board-certified or board-eligible, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. A strong emphasis is placed on respect for patients, co-workers, and staff, as well as a commitment to providing an exceptional experience for patients. Requirements

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in managing a high volume of patients in a hospital setting.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, particularly Epic.
