About the position

Swedish Medical Group is seeking a Neurology-Epileptologist to join the Seattle NeuroScience Center, focusing primarily on epilepsy care. This role involves a mix of approximately 75% epilepsy and 25% general neurology, working within a level IV NAEC accredited epilepsy center. The ideal candidate will be part of a dedicated team of specialists committed to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct medical and surgical epilepsy workups
• Perform EEG, LTM, and rapid EEG readings
• Collaborate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team
• Manage surgical candidacy for epilepsy patients
• Oversee chronic epilepsy medical management
• Interpret VEEG monitoring results
• Conduct adult and pediatric EEG interpretations
• Perform brain mapping and neurostimulator candidate evaluations
• Manage general neuro skills in uncomplicated headache, back pain, and movement disorder cases

Requirements

• Board certification in Neurology
• Fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology
• Experience with EEG and VEEG monitoring
• Ability to interpret EEGs for both adult and pediatric patients
• Strong skills in chronic epilepsy management
• Experience in surgical candidacy evaluations

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in neurostimulator device management
• Familiarity with brain mapping techniques
• Interest in research and academic contributions
