About the position

The Neurology Nurse Practitioner position at Inspire Medical Group involves providing specialized care to patients with neurological conditions. The role includes both telehealth and onsite visits, focusing on diagnosing, treating, and managing patients suffering from various neurological issues. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in neurology, particularly in critical care settings, and will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care to patients diagnosed with various neurological conditions, including acute ischemic stroke, ICH, and seizure disorders.
• Coordinate care plans, address patient needs, evaluate the effectiveness of care, and assess changes to the patient's medical condition.
• Order diagnostic tests and studies and prescribe medications as needed.
• Deliver patient-centered care and treatment management, bedside procedures, quality improvement activities, education, and teaching.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Current, valid Florida APRN license
• Certification through the ANCC, AANP (or equivalent certification body)
• Current BLS certification
• Medicare NPI #, 855I and 855r on file
• Neurology-focused clinical experience (3+ years)
• Ability to commit to work a minimum of 10 hours per week, between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday through Friday.

Nice-to-haves

• ICU experience
• Experience performing central lines, arterial lines, intrathecal medications administration, and lumbar punctures
• Geriatrics and telehealth experience
• Fluency in other languages in addition to English is highly desirable.
