About the position
The New Bearing Assembly Technician at Timken Company is responsible for setting up and operating assembly equipment to produce bearings, ensuring product quality through inspections, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities
- Setup and operate assembly equipment to produce bearings.
- Manually install components and apply labeling and packaging according to customer requirements.
- Verify product conformance through visual and dimensional inspection using measurement instruments.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and workstations.
- Document and communicate manufacturing performance issues to maintain continuity between shifts.
- Act as a role model, coach, and trainer for new associates.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing tools.
Requirements
- Proficiency in math and reading skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to complete training program and meet qualification requirements.
