About the position

Celerity Consulting Group is seeking a New Business Project Manager to join their Northern California utilities team. This role involves coordinating new business projects, managing customer interactions, overseeing billing, and preparing contracts for the installation of gas and electric facilities. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning and executing projects while collaborating closely with the PMO Director and coaching Senior Consultants. This hybrid position requires on-site work at client locations in Monterey, CA, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new business project activities and customer contact.
• Manage billing and contract preparation for gas and electric facility installations.
• Plan and execute projects, ensuring compliance with safety and company standards.
• Prepare field sketches and layouts for construction scoping.
• Manage project scope, schedule, and costs from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely project completion.
• Communicate project status to stakeholders and facilitate dispute resolution.
• Prepare contracts ensuring compliance with standards and tariffs.
• Proactively manage customer expectations and negotiate project timelines.
• Ensure all project documentation is maintained and permits are obtained.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, Business or related field.
• At least three years of experience as a Project Manager or in a Senior level role.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Ability to define efficient approaches to data collection and analysis.
