About the position

The New Business Representative at PG&E Corporation is responsible for customer contact, project coordination, billing, and contract preparation related to the installation of new business gas and electric facilities. This role involves managing project scope, schedule, and costs while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires collaboration with various departments and stakeholders to ensure timely project completion and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Maximize public and employee safety by ensuring compliance with Company and State standards.
• Prepare field sketches and layouts for construction projects.
• Manage scope, schedule, and cost for assigned projects from initiation to meter set.
• Coordinate with various departments to define project objectives and responsibilities.
• Monitor project schedules and prioritize work in coordination with resource groups.
• Conduct pre-engineering and pre-construction meetings, addressing potential project risks.
• Communicate project status to all stakeholders and facilitate dispute resolution.
• Prepare contracts to ensure compliance with standards and tariffs.
• Proactively communicate with project stakeholders and negotiate construction dates.
• Ensure all project documentation is maintained and permits are obtained.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or equivalent experience.
• Three or more years of experience in construction project management or PG&E technical service planning, or 12 months as a Hiring Hall New Business Representative.
• Valid Class C California Driver's License or higher by Day 1 of hire.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Familiarity with tariffs, rates, and contracts/tools.
• Experience with Work Management (WM) SAP and project approval processes.
• Strong project management and communication skills.

• Ability to work with both internal and external customers.
