About the position

The New Equipment Fielding & Training Logistics Specialist serves as a Logistics Management Specialist responsible for ensuring cohesive logistics support for the Program Executive Office (PEO) and Project Management Office (PMO). This role involves planning, directing, and managing logistics operations throughout the lifecycle of assigned systems, integrating various functions such as funding, supply, maintenance, and training.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, coordinate, and manage logistics support requirements for the PEO/PMO.
• Integrate separate functions including funding, supply, maintenance, procurement, and transportation for logistics management.
• Implement the 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements in accordance with regulatory guidance.
• Utilize ASPR COLTS and DPAS for logistics tracking and accountability.
• Assist in developing and managing Memorandum of Agreement for maintenance actions with other government agencies.
• Provide technical support for Uncrewed Aircraft Systems sustainment maintenance planning.
• Create contract modification documentation for property transfer and traceability.
• Monitor contractor performance on maintenance-related contracts and prepare contract modifications.
• Collaborate with specialists to review and apply policies and procedures to daily operations.
• Train unit personnel on equipment receipt, inspection, storage, and administration.

Requirements

• BA/BS Degree preferred with 8 years of logistics experience; 16 years of logistics experience may substitute for a degree.
• Experience with Performance Based Logistics (PBL) and Property Book User Supply Enhanced (PBUSE).
• Familiarity with Global Combat Support System (GCSS) - Army and Defense Priorities and Allocation Systems (DPAS).
• Aviation experience is required.
• Experience in new fielding and training logistics.
