The Field Engineer I will be involved in multiple construction disciplines, including Safety, Estimating, Project Management, and Operations. This position is designed for individuals who possess a degree in Engineering or Construction Management. The Field Engineer will be entrusted with responsibilities and decision-making authority, allowing them to actively and independently manage teams without the need for manual labor. This role is pivotal in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and effectively, contributing to the overall success of Skanska's operations. Responsibilities

  • Manage various construction disciplines including Safety, Estimating, Project Management, and Operations.
  • Actively and independently oversee teams involved in construction activities.
  • Make decisions regarding project execution and resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to achieve project goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Construction or Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience in construction or engineering.
  • Broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with heavy civil construction projects.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
