About the position

The New Grad RN position in the Medical Unit at UH Lake West Acute Care is designed for recent nursing graduates to provide safe and efficient nursing care to patients and their families. The role emphasizes the use of the nursing process to help patients achieve optimal health outcomes. The position is situated in a 30-bed medical unit with an additional 15 beds in the Observation Unit, and it involves collaboration with a team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Implement the nursing process by delivering effective relationship-based nursing care.
• Demonstrate technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
• Develop self and contribute to the professional practice of nursing.
• Display leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be a recent nursing graduate with a valid RN license or in the process of obtaining one.
• Ability to provide age-specific nursing care to patients and families.
