About the position
The New Grad Registered Nurse (RN) position in the Neuroscience Unit at Cleveland Clinic is designed for recent nursing graduates or those with less than one year of experience. This role is integral to the care of high-acuity patients suffering from neurological conditions. The position involves working in a state-of-the-art facility that emphasizes patient-centered care and offers a comprehensive residency program to support new nurses in their professional development.
Responsibilities
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
- Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
- Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care based on acuity of need, patient preference, and resource availability.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk.
- Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
- Document in patients' medical records.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN OR less than one year of RN work experience.
