About the position

The New Grad RN Residency Program at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital offers recent nursing graduates an opportunity to begin their nursing careers in a supportive and innovative environment. This program focuses on providing individualized patient care across various units, including Med/Surg, Behavioral Health, Cardiology, and more. Participants will engage in a comprehensive orientation and competency training to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide individualized nursing care for patients of all ages.
• Participate in orientation and complete competency requirements.
• Maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia.
• Achieve and maintain CPR certification.

Requirements

• Graduation from a school of professional nursing or an accredited college.
• Eligibility to sit for the Virginia licensure exam.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligibility to acquire it.
• Achievement/maintenance of CPR certification.
