About the position

The Graduate Nurse RN position at Mercy is designed for new graduates from accredited nursing programs who are seeking to begin their nursing careers. Responsibilities

• Participate in the residency program designed for new graduate nurses.
• Provide patient care in assigned departments such as Cardio/Pulmonary/Renal, General MedSurg, and others.
• Complete required training and certifications, including basic life support within 90 days.
• Maintain a current RN license and meet all state board of nursing requirements.
• Engage in continuous education and professional development activities.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
• Must obtain and maintain a current RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure.
• Basic life support training must be completed within 90 days of hire.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in clinical settings during nursing education.
• Interest in specialty areas such as Cardio/Pulmonary/Renal or MedSurg.
