About the position

The New Graduate Nurse RN Resident position at Menorah Medical Center is designed for recent nursing graduates to transition into professional nursing roles. This full-time residency program offers hands-on experience across various hospital units, including Emergency Room, Cardiac Care, and Medical Surgical, among others. The program emphasizes clinical training, mentorship, and professional development, ensuring that new nurses are well-prepared to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each scheduled shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting care in the patient medical record in a timely manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for therapeutic responses, intervening as necessary for unintended responses.
  • Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving them proactively.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures.

Requirements

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification obtained within 1 year of employment.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse status in the State.
  • No previous experience required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Other certifications may be required during employment.
  • Some travel may be needed for training.
