About the position
The New Hire Production Trainer at Plexus is responsible for training and mentoring manufacturing associates, ensuring they are competent in their roles and adhere to operational standards. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining training compliance, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production during critical times. The trainer will reinforce training received from technical specialists and ensure that associates understand the zero defects concept in their work.
Responsibilities
- Reinforce training received to ensure manufacturing associates can perform tasks independently.
- Train on quality, operational, technical, environmental, health, and safety standards in the assigned work area.
- Work closely with production/group leads to ensure trainees meet productivity goals.
- Demonstrate knowledge of manual and automated operations of equipment and processes following training and standard operating procedures.
- Conduct on-the-job training related to core functional operations.
Requirements
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required.
- 2 years of related experience is required.
- Previous experience serving as a peer trainer or mentor is preferred.
Nice-to-haves
- Basic to intermediate knowledge/skills in Google Workspace or Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge/skills in Power BI, DCS, Cornerstone, Training Delinquency and Forecast Tools, ABIs, and VKS Guidebooks.
