About the position

The New Home Sales Consultant at Clayton Homes is responsible for creating a world-class home buying experience by assisting customers in identifying floor plans, selecting options, and coordinating the construction process. This role offers a base salary with a lucrative commission plan, providing significant earning potential and opportunities for career growth within a leading housing provider.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in identifying suitable floor plans and options for their new homes.
• Coordinate the construction process to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain customer files and provide timely follow-up with prospective buyers using the company's CRM system.
• Help select inventory and maintain the appearance of model homes.
• Develop and execute a strategic sales and marketing plan to increase home center traffic.
• Present display homes to potential buyers, demonstrating features and benefits.
• Set appointments for home center visits by converting ad calls and web leads.
• Participate in all sales meetings, training opportunities, and company-sponsored functions.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment and assist with miscellaneous duties as required.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of relationship-driven business to consumer sales experience preferred.
• General understanding of the retail environment.
• Ability to obtain appropriate manufactured home sales licensing.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to excel and contribute to a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work a required schedule, including Saturdays.
• Professional demeanor and appearance.
• Ability to walk the lot and show homes throughout all seasons.
• Ability to move and lift furniture and promotional items (up to 75 lbs.).
• Subject to criminal background check and drug screening.
