About the position

The New Homes Sales Operations Specialist at Sunrun plays a crucial role in delivering solar and storage solutions to new home builders. This position involves managing the New Homes Program by collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring successful project execution, and maintaining strong relationships with builders and architects. The role requires excellent communication skills, self-organization, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new bid requests and generate proposals
  • Set proper expectations for successful and profitable projects
  • Balance the interests of the company and the customer
  • Escalate commercial or contractual concerns promptly
  • Seek prompt resolution of issues
  • Articulate opinions effectively and present succinctly at all levels
  • Pursue success and problem resolution relentlessly
  • Identify Scope of Work (SOW) for new projects and document processes
  • Review architectural plans and route engineering requests
  • Prioritize new requests based on project timing and urgency
  • Track outstanding design requests and monitor execution
  • Initiate permitting research for new building departments
  • Identify unique processes and communicate to Field and Project Operations teams
  • Determine requirements for Master Plans or Individual solar packages
  • Work with Architect and Builder to submit solar master plans
  • Track status through to approval/issuance
  • Track materials and products specified in proposals
  • Drive projects forward and ensure timely delivery to builders
  • Update forecast and pipeline management files
  • Flag teams downstream and provide visibility on proposals
  • Update Sales Operations trackers for new projects
  • Manage contract execution with Sales and legal teams
  • Identify builder insurance requirements and ensure coverage
  • Monitor Sales Operations pipeline and track proposals
  • Identify and tackle issues preventing execution
  • Establish yourself as an asset to the sales team
  • Travel 1 or 2 days to meet with Builders or support Sales team
  • Communicate proactively and build lasting relationships

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of project coordination or project management experience
  • Solar and/or production building experience preferred
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Salesforce
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with high organization
  • Ability to remain seated for more than 50% of the workday
  • Sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity for office equipment
  • Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force and occasionally lift up to 15 pounds
  • Ability to perform normal office duties
  • Ability to operate office equipment and determine accuracy of work
  • Ability to interact and participate in meetings
  • Ability to travel 10% of working time
