The Product Manager role at DAS in South Hackensack, NJ, is designed for an applications engineer or a new product development engineer who is looking to transition into a customer-facing position. This role is pivotal in assisting customers in developing solutions for their in-building public safety and industrial Distributed Antenna System (DAS) solutions, utilizing both Class A and Class B technology. In this position, you will be responsible for navigating the complex landscape of Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and code compliance environments. A deep understanding of these regulations is crucial as you will need to clearly define frequency band requirements and collaborate with engineering teams to scope solutions across various frequency bands, including 700/800/900 MHz and UHF/VHF, as well as fiber solutions for bi-directional amplifiers. Your role will also involve defining comprehensive solutions that include necessary accessories to ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will be tasked with calculating defined margins to secure business deals, inspiring confidence in customers regarding your ability to deliver what they need. This position requires extensive interaction and responsiveness to both sales and engineering teams, ensuring that all aspects of the product development and customer engagement processes are aligned. You will also manage pricing and margin strategies, oversee vendor relationships, and ensure that the company maintains adequate inventory levels to support short lead times and high service levels.
