The Production Engineer role at New Mexico Disaggregation Manufacturing Organization is pivotal in benchmarking, developing, implementing, and continuously improving operational standards and business processes within a low volume, high product mix manufacturing environment. This position is designed to enable consistent high-velocity output while ensuring agility in operations through the identification and evaluation of alternatives or contingency plans. The Production Engineer will work closely with key customers, including the Captain of Ship (COS) and Remote Operation Center (ROC) Group Leaders (GLs), to foster effective partnerships that are critical to the success of the role. In addition to these responsibilities, the Production Engineer acts as an integrator and liaison between Production and various departments across the factory, such as Planning, Automation, Process Engineering, Integration, and Industrial Engineering (IE). This collaboration is essential for developing key operational strategies, standards, and business processes that manage factory Work in Progress (WIP) flow, ensuring both development and steady-state operations are optimized. The Production Engineer will also take ownership of certain operational business systems and capabilities, balancing these responsibilities across the team. Furthermore, this role represents F11X Production in Virtual Factory (VF) improvement teams and forums, advocating for business needs and assisting in the implementation of Best Known Methods (BKMs) and new capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing methodologies, quality control systems, and lean principles, along with a willingness to learn and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
