About the position

The IGCC Process Specialist at Tampa Electric Company is a multi-skilled position focused on the operation and maintenance of instrumentation and controls (I&C) within a power generation and water production facility. This role requires proficiency in troubleshooting and maintaining various equipment, ensuring operational excellence in both normal and emergency conditions. The position involves working in a team-based environment and requires adherence to high technical and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain all equipment required to support Power Generation and Water Production at Polk Power Station.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks at a journeyman level in the I&C trade.
• Conduct operational duties including start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures for plant equipment.
• Complete training for Confined Space Rescue, First Aid/CPR, HAZWOPPER Technician level response, and Incipient Fire response.

Requirements

• Valid High School Diploma or valid GED.
• At least four years of work experience in a large industrial complex with experience in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in Electrical, Mechanical, or I&C areas.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with industrial equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and trucks.
