About the position

The New Mexico site Factory Network is seeking entry-level Shift Group Leaders for various shifts, responsible for leading a team of 18-20 Manufacturing Technicians. This role involves ensuring safety, quality, and performance goals are met while fostering a collaborative work environment. The position requires working a compressed schedule of 12-hour shifts and includes responsibilities such as training, mentoring, and driving operational excellence across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of approximately 18-20 Manufacturing Technicians.
  • Ensure overall safety of personnel and company assets.
  • Provide training, mentoring, coaching, and performance management for Manufacturing Technicians.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with other Shift Group Leaders and support teams.
  • Drive operational expertise and excellence across all modules and shifts.
  • Assign personnel to maintenance tasks and monitor progress.
  • Set priorities for the team and ensure an inclusive work environment.
  • Assess staffing and maintenance plans to accommodate production schedules.
  • Utilize business acumen to address problems requiring deviation from standard practices.
  • Drive module-level improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Business Administration with an Operations Management concentration or a Graduate Certificate in Management with an Operations Management concentration.
  • 4+ years of experience in a technical career field within military service.
  • Technical ability with analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a semiconductor industry-related environment.
  • Military service as a Non-Commissioned Officer or Commissioned Officer with 2+ years of direct management experience.
  • Understanding of semiconductor process flow technology and theory of constraint management.
  • Experience with manufacturing supervisory and/or management in a High-Volume Manufacturing or Technology Development environment.
