About the position

The Telehealth Substance Use Disorder Counselor at Affect Therapeutics is a remote position focused on providing virtual therapy for individuals recovering from stimulant, alcohol, and cannabis addiction. The role involves conducting assessments, leading therapy sessions, and collaborating on treatment plans, all while ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining documentation. This position offers a flexible schedule, including the possibility of a four-day workweek, and is integral to the company's mission of revolutionizing addiction recovery through innovative digital programs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments to determine Member readiness.
• Lead group and one-on-one therapy sessions using Affect's curriculum.
• Provide crisis intervention and referrals.
• Maintain thorough, concurrent documentation in our EMR system.
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors on treatment and discharge plans.
• Comply with HIPAA and all state-specific regulations.

Requirements

• Must hold an active and verifiable counseling license or certification in the state you practice.
• 2+ years of SUD counseling experience.
• Comfortable with Google Suite, EMRs, and telehealth platforms.
• Availability for 1-2 evening shifts and some weekends.
• Passionate about supporting sobriety and building positive relationships.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a startup environment.
• Must have a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
