About the position
The New Model Technical Expert will lead technical judgment activities and independently manage supplier part and process assessments to support New Model project timelines. This role involves providing technical leadership and expertise to ensure that part and process development meet mass production quality requirements and demands.
Responsibilities
- Confirm supplier product/process technical details.
- Provide technical leadership for supplier process development, process layout & flow, tooling/equipment, manufacturing quality standards (MQS), and/or Countermeasure Request Forms (CRF).
- Lead Technical Evaluation meetings across all NMD areas.
- Provide technical support throughout tool trials and crisis activity, as needed.
- Work with supplier to ensure resolution of any part & process concerns.
- Review initial part conformance through dimensional analysis and any additional requirements.
- Mentor and support a team of associates for the department and oversee technical confirmations & judgments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 10 years equivalent relevant experience required.
- 6 - 8 years of experience, depending on education.
- Technical Analysis skills.
- North American Theme Leadership experience.
- Proficiency in CATIA.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Strong Program Management and Leadership Experience.
