About the position

The Portfolio Manager at Trajan Wealth is a licensed Fiduciary Advisor responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with an established book of clients. This role is pivotal in ensuring that clients receive exceptional service and guidance in their financial planning and investment strategies. The Portfolio Manager will work primarily from the corporate office, engaging with clients virtually and by phone to foster ongoing relationships and introduce them to the portfolio management team. A strong understanding of financial markets and retirement planning is essential, as the role requires a client-centric approach to service and the ability to sell additional financial products. Trajan Wealth, with nearly $2 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM) and Assets Under Administration (AUA), is recognized as one of the fastest-growing Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firms in the country. The Portfolio Manager will also be responsible for uncovering estate planning needs, coordinating with attorneys, and providing retirement and tax planning as necessary. This role requires proactive communication with clients, conducting periodic reviews, and ensuring that clients are informed about their accounts and the services available to them. The Portfolio Manager will also be involved in the onboarding of new clients and the transfer of assets, ensuring a seamless experience for all clients.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients virtually and by phone to develop and maintain relationships.
  • Introduce new clients to the portfolio management team and concepts.
  • Work with Client Services to facilitate funding and keep clients informed.
  • Fund accounts and communicate with clients regarding their investments.
  • Conduct training for clients on the 'client portal'.
  • Perform periodic reviews and check-in calls with clients.
  • Introduce clients to the benefits of other team members as needed.
  • Identify estate planning needs and schedule appointments with attorneys.
  • Provide retirement planning assistance as needed.
  • Assist with tax planning as required.
  • Uncover new assets and coordinate the inbound transfer of assets.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Clean U4 registration status.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Preferred financial designations: CFP, CFA, CIMA, CPA.
  • Securities licenses/certification: Series 65 or 66.
  • Arizona Life and Annuity License.
  • Minimum of 3 years of financial investment advisor experience preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience utilizing a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive approach to client service.
