About the position

The New Product Development Manager for Magnetics at Molex will lead the development of innovative magnetic products, collaborating with various teams and customers to drive technology advancements. This role is pivotal in establishing product development strategies and fostering technical relationships with customers, ensuring the successful launch of next-generation products in the market.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for magnetics and product development.
• Manage customer technical relationships effectively.
• Develop and implement product development strategies.
• Act as the technical interface to customers.
• Collaborate closely with the team responsible for final product electrical performance.
• Support the Molex customer-facing systems lab in Fremont, CA.
• Foster cooperation with customer test labs to standardize system-level testing methods.
• Collaborate with PHY/IC vendors to ensure robust operation of Molex products at the system level.
• Contribute to building a world-class team of engineers for magnetic product development.
• Drive the expansion of Molex magnetics products into new markets and applications.
• Leverage manufacturing knowledge to establish market leadership in magnetic products.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electronics, physics, or a related field.
• Experience in technical leadership focused on the product development lifecycle.
• System-level test and validation experience.
• Experience in the magnetic business or relevant application areas.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet targeted objectives.
• Technical leadership skills to guide and collaborate with a team.

Nice-to-haves

• ICM connector experience
• Experience with Ethernet ICM/Discrete magnetics product development.
