About the position

Molex is seeking an experienced New Product Development Manager to lead the development of high-speed datacom and telecom solutions for AI applications. This role involves collaborating with customers, partners, and internal teams to create products that meet market technology needs, ensuring successful implementation within next-generation platforms. The position requires a blend of technical knowledge and business acumen, focusing on innovation and delivering high-quality, user-centric products that drive growth and maintain a competitive edge in the datacom industry.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic product and annual business plans targeting markets, industries, and customers.
  • Identify product line trends and technologies.
  • Lead long-term product planning to increase pipeline growth, customer wins, and RPM release.
  • Collaborate with MIE and cross-functional teams to ensure CapEx and product costs align with market conditions.
  • Track capacity and drive capital investments supporting forecasted demand.
  • Drive the closure of commercial negotiations with customers on new platform partnerships.
  • Identify opportunities to establish and develop industry partner relationships.
  • Support and contribute to Molex's Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S Management Systems.
  • Track and understand the competitive landscape and establish our technology roadmap.
  • Develop relationships with key customers to align their technology roadmap with our development plan.
  • Lead development projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion.
  • Create marketing collateral to promote new technologies and gain market penetration.
  • Drive product and technology release internally while collaborating with marketing communications on launch strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience within the high-speed Datacom Market.
  • 2+ years of sales experience calling on Datacom accounts.
  • 2+ years of product management experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical background (electrical or mechanical).
  • Sales experience or product engineering.
  • SAP experience.
  • Experience in negotiating and working with contract manufacturers and electronics market OEMs.
