About the position

The New Product Development Manager at PSG California LLC is responsible for leading the Mechanical and Electronics Engineering team in Cincinnati, focusing on the development of innovative chemical dispensers. This role emphasizes achieving key performance indicators related to new product development revenue, quality, on-time delivery, and cost management. The manager will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure that products are production-ready and positioned for commercial success, while also enhancing Hydro's brand value.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, and motivate an internal team of Mechanical and Electronics NPD Engineers for effective and timely execution of NPD projects.
  • Drive the team towards achieving key performance criteria and stretch goals.
  • Resolve technical issues through design optimization and creative problem-solving.
  • Oversee the development of equipment with electronic controls.
  • Ensure efficient project management, delivering projects on-time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage resource availability, allocation, and performance to maximize investment returns.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third-party designers and their development teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation and protect the company's intellectual property.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in managing new product development projects in a technical environment.
  • Strong technical background in mechanical and electronics engineering.
  • Experience with design optimization and resolving technical issues creatively.
  • Knowledge of injection molding and fluid dynamics is preferred.
  • Ability to manage teams and drive performance towards key metrics.
