About the position

As a Product Specialist, you will execute and support tactical initiatives for the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) product lines. This hands-on role focuses on implementing sourcing strategies, maintaining product data accuracy, and supporting day-to-day product management operations. You will work closely with the Product Line Manager to execute strategic initiatives and ensure smooth operation of the product portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate product information in PIM and ERP systems
  • Create and update product documentation, specifications, and technical content
  • Ensure data consistency across all platforms and sales channels
  • Monitor and report on product performance metrics
  • Collect and organize Voice-of-Customer (VOC) data
  • Conduct preliminary market research and competitive analysis
  • Monitor market trends and maintain market intelligence reports
  • Execute product launch plans as directed by Product Line Manager
  • Coordinate product photography and content creation
  • Maintain launch schedules and track milestones
  • Support creation of training materials and product documentation
  • Process and validate product change requests
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve product-related issues
  • Support inventory management and forecasting activities
  • Assist in product cost analysis and margin maintenance
  • Monitor competitive products and maintain competitive intelligence database
  • Liaise with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams for day-to-day activities
  • Support customer service with technical product information
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain for inventory planning
  • Assist in preparing materials for sales and marketing initiatives
  • Coordinate sample evaluations and testing
  • Support quality control processes and documentation
  • Manage supplier documentation and compliance requirements

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in product support, technical sales, or related role
  • Mechanical or technical aptitude, preferably with knowledge in OPE, Power Sports, Marine Equipment, and Automotive parts
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Independent working capability with minimal supervision

Nice-to-haves

  • Comprehensive understanding of the replacement parts market, including its structure, key players, competitors, and supply chain dynamics
  • Prior experience with the 80/20 operating model
  • Familiarity with Product Information Management (PIM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
