About the position

The New Product Development Program Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing the product development process across multiple programs simultaneously. This position requires strong cross-functional leadership skills, as the program manager serves as the central logistical contact for various globally dispersed functional groups involved in product development. The program manager is responsible for driving accountability and results throughout the entire product development lifecycle, which includes stages such as feasibility assessment, planning, design, product validation, qualification, sampling, and ramp-up to production. In this role, the program manager will develop and maintain detailed program schedules, ensuring that all aspects of the product development process are on track. They will identify and address any gaps in the process and proactively assess and mitigate risks that may arise during execution. Regular and special cross-functional team meetings will be driven by the program manager to ensure effective communication and collaboration among team members. Additionally, the program manager will work closely with suppliers to understand lead times and ensure timely delivery of components and materials necessary for product development. The program manager will also be responsible for tracking project expenditures and budgets, presenting product plans and status updates to executive management, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the product development process. This position may require occasional travel to meet with suppliers or attend relevant meetings.
