About the position

The New Product Implementation Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing engineering planning and support for the introduction of new products. This role involves collaboration with the Plant Manager and Manufacturing Engineering Manager to ensure effective long- and short-range planning for manufacturing capabilities, processes, and cost estimates. The manager will lead all manufacturing engineering activities related to new product introductions and drive continuous improvement efforts within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overall direction, coordination, and execution of new products being introduced into API.
  • Develop manufacturing plans and objectives, including staffing requirements and capital equipment expenses.
  • Implement and execute manufacturing plans throughout the organization.
  • Review performance against operating plans and provide reports on results interpretation.
  • Present results to the General Manager in writing and formal presentations.
  • Define and recommend objectives in each area of operations.
  • Develop short-term and long-term plans and programs with supporting budget requests.
  • Seek new methods, tooling, and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and cost competitiveness.
  • Maintain control of manufacturing expenses and financial budgets.
  • Implement new systems and procedures for effective and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Forge strong relationships with employees to achieve high productivity and profitability.
  • Resolve problems using innovative technologies and techniques.
  • Analyze technology trends, human resource needs, and market demand to plan projects.
  • Maintain knowledge of new technologies to improve operations and develop recommendations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in a Manufacturing Aerospace, Defense, or other regulated industry.
  • Experience in the implementation/utilization of Lean and Six Sigma Principles.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
