About the position

The New Product Launch (NPL) Manager at Plastic Omnium Lighting Systems, Inc. is responsible for supervising and leading a project team to ensure the successful launch of various automotive lighting systems. This role involves overseeing the production processes, ensuring quality control, and managing the packaging and assembly of headlamp systems and other lighting components for OEM vehicle makers and Tier I suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a project team including Project Engineers and a Packaging Engineer.
• Ensure the integrity of low/high beam lights and other lighting systems during high volume production.
• Plan and assure packaging, assembly, and launch of various automotive lighting systems.
• Manage the production processes involving Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines and Controlled Electrostatic Sensitive Discharge (ESD).
• Oversee conformal coating processes to protect Printed Circuit Boards Assemblies (PCBAs) from contamination and water contact.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 24 months of experience as an Engineer, Manager, Superintendent, Supervisor, Leader, or related role in a plant with SMT lines and ESD processes.
