About the position
Sunbelt is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist for a contracted position near East Windsor, Connecticut, during the upcoming school year. This role is essential in providing psychological services to students, ensuring their mental health and educational needs are met. The School Psychologist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify students' needs and develop appropriate interventions. Collaboration is key in this position, as the psychologist will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique requirements. In addition to assessment and planning, the School Psychologist will provide counseling and guidance services to students, helping them navigate personal and academic challenges. The role also includes providing crisis intervention and support during emergency situations or critical incidents, ensuring the safety and well-being of students. Maintaining accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring is crucial for tracking student development and ensuring compliance with educational regulations. This position requires a Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field, along with valid state licensure.
