About the position

The New Student Programs Social Media & Marketing Student Coordinator is a part-time work-study position at the University of the Incarnate Word. This role focuses on managing digital marketing projects to promote the Office of New Student Programs, engaging with prospective and new students through various social media platforms, and collaborating with student assistants to enhance student engagement and communication.

Responsibilities

• Manage social media accounts to increase followers and engagement with prospective and new students.
• Create marketing flyers and posters to promote events and processes.
• Plan and implement digital marketing content strategies across social media channels including TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, and YouTube.
• Develop a social media content calendar in collaboration with the Director of New Student Programs.
• Create and execute social media campaigns for various events and initiatives.
• Compile content for flyers, websites, and Canvas to promote events and student processes.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns for events and student engagement opportunities.
• Collaborate with student assistants to gather information on on and off-campus events for promotion.
• Record event experiences to generate marketing content for future promotions.
• Assist in creating video content for the CANVAS learning space and website.

Requirements

• Current UIW student approved and eligible for the Federal Work-Study program.
• Minimum 2.50 GPA requirement.
• Ability to be organized and complete projects effectively.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Canva.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
