About the position

Nova is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to play a pivotal role in identifying, characterizing, and validating new technology developments within the semiconductor manufacturing sector. This position is integral to Nova's Corporate CTO group, reporting directly to the VP of New Technologies. The Product Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with both corporate and divisional marketing teams to ensure alignment and effective communication across the organization. As a leading innovator in metrology solutions for advanced process control, Nova continuously strives to maintain its technological edge by introducing disruptive capabilities and expanding its technology portfolio. The CTO group was established to facilitate the influx of new technologies, which is essential for addressing the diverse challenges and needs that arise in the rapidly evolving semiconductor industry. The Product Marketing Manager will leverage their understanding of the semiconductor ecosystem to identify new technologies, analyze their potential value, and work with technical teams to characterize and validate these technologies, ultimately driving their integration into the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technological background, with familiarity across multiple process and process control technologies, as well as a deep understanding of the semiconductor fabrication landscape. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and marketing acumen to effectively bridge the gap between innovation and market needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product management of new development activities from the pre-idea stage to a well-defined, justified, and feasible development project.
  • Analyze industry situations, market trends, and customer challenges to identify potential new technological developments in collaboration with Corporate Marketing teams.
  • Define the requirements and value statement for new technological developments, working with the CTO new-tech team to balance technological capabilities and customer needs.
  • Validate potential new technological developments with customers and industry leaders.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to provide ROI, justification, and market analysis for new directions.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. / M.Sc. in Physics, Material Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with exposure to new capabilities and process control challenges.
  • Deep knowledge of semiconductor process and process control markets and technologies.
  • Hands-on R&D/Engineering experience.
  • Experience in managerial roles.
  • Product management or marketing experience in multidisciplinary products is an advantage.
  • Ability to identify and analyze various technological paths based on diverse physical principles.
  • Excellent people, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional activities.
  • Disruptive innovation thinking - daring to challenge the status quo.
