About the position

Wedgewood Weddings & Events is excited to announce the opening of a new venue in Colorado Springs! We are currently hiring for various positions including event servers, bartenders, sales staff, kitchen staff, and dishwashers. Since our inception in 1986, Wedgewood Weddings has transformed the wedding planning experience, allowing couples to enjoy a stress-free engagement. With 50 venues across the country, we pride ourselves on providing beautiful locations that are designed to impress. Our focus is on managing all the logistics, enabling our clients to avoid the typical planning headaches associated with traditional venues. It is important to note that our work schedule aligns with our clients' needs, which means weekend and evening availability is essential for all positions. As is common in the hospitality industry, this role requires regular availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as the potential for shifts exceeding 8 hours and workweeks surpassing 40 hours. Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverages to guests during events
  • Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth event operations
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Follow health and safety regulations during food preparation and service
  • Handle cash and process payments as required
  • Assist in inventory management and restocking supplies as needed

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hospitality or service-oriented role is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is a plus
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in event planning or coordination
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Bartending experience is a plus
  • Sales experience in a hospitality setting
