CUMULUS MEDIA Albuquerque is seeking a dynamic Program Director for the legendary News Radio KKOB, which has recently celebrated its 100th anniversary. This role is pivotal in guiding the station towards its next milestone while maintaining its reputation as a modern talk station that encourages listener engagement. The Program Director will also oversee programming for KNML The Sports Animal, the leading sports radio station in Albuquerque. The ideal candidate will possess a successful programming background, demonstrated by a winning track record supported by Nielsen Audio results. The Program Director will be responsible for creating an excellent on-air sound by developing organized systems to limit audio mistakes and ensuring that all programming elements, including commercials and promotions, are aired as scheduled. This role requires a creative and strategic problem solver who can produce compelling radio shows using independent professional judgment in writing, producing, interviewing, and broadcasting on-air content. The Program Director will also engage with listeners through various platforms, including social media, and will be expected to participate in station programming, promotions, and sales meetings. In addition to programming responsibilities, the Program Director will work closely with the promotions director to maximize the station's digital assets, including websites and social media presence. The role demands strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
