About the position

Sinclair Broadcast Group's Capitol Hill bureau is seeking a talented News Video Editor who is a creative visual storyteller. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects and meet various deadlines each week. The successful candidate will be responsible for covering a range of assignments, including day-to-day general news, in-depth features, and investigative stories, with a particular focus on issues related to Congress and the White House. The position involves editing video content for both broadcast and digital platforms, ensuring that the final product is engaging and informative. The ideal candidate will possess strong editing skills, particularly in non-linear editing systems, and will have experience in implementing creative graphics. Working efficiently under deadline pressure is crucial, as the role demands the ability to produce high-quality content quickly. Responsibilities

  • Strong interest in news and current events.
  • Ability to work as an aggressive team player who can produce great stories under tight deadlines.
  • Technical knowledge of editing and video equipment is required.
  • Ability to work under deadline and on a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends when necessary.
