About the position

KVVU-TV, FOX5 in Las Vegas is seeking a creative and self-motivated videographer with a keen eye for news. The role involves gathering video and sound for stories, editing content for various platforms, and executing live shots. The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively within a team, contributing to the editorial process and ensuring high-quality news coverage.

Responsibilities

• Gathering video and sound for stories
• Shooting daily live shots
• Editing stories for television and web
• Contributing to the entire editorial process, including sourcing, enterprising, gathering, story construction, and presentation

Requirements

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of prior videography experience in a TV Newsroom
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in journalism, TV production, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
• Non-linear editing experience
• Computer experience
• Proven ability to post content on social media platforms
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
• Flexible schedule with on-call assignments
• MVR check during pre-employment
