About the position

The NMPA Executive Director will lead the organization in its mission to support and advocate for the newspaper industry in New Mexico. This role involves strategic planning, management of operations, and fostering relationships with stakeholders to enhance the visibility and effectiveness of the NMPA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the organization in strategic planning and execution of initiatives.
• Manage daily operations and ensure alignment with the organization's mission.
• Foster relationships with stakeholders, including members, government officials, and the public.
• Advocate for the newspaper industry at local and state levels.
• Oversee financial management and fundraising efforts.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leadership roles within non-profit organizations or similar fields.
• Strong understanding of the newspaper industry and its challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in advocacy or public relations.
• Knowledge of media law and ethics.
