About the position

The Next Gen Digital Solutions Software Engineer position at Weatherford is part of a global leadership development program aimed at accelerating the growth of recent graduates into future leadership roles. This role involves hands-on training and mentorship, focusing on system implementation of Weatherford's software solutions for the oil and gas industry. The position emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams and the development of managerial skills while making a significant impact on customer operations.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for system implementation of Weatherford Software Solutions to Oil and Gas customers.
  • Install, Upgrade, Integrate, and Configure SCADA and Production Optimization Systems.
  • Build Screens, Workflows, and Reports to support customer operations and SCADA hardware.
  • Develop and provide custom solutions, utilities, and system integration using scripts, procedural documentation, and relevant reports.
  • Participate in software testing, software review, and implementation testing during the release cycle.
  • Gain a firm understanding of Production Optimization Products and how it works from the user's perspective.
  • Learn how to support troubleshooting of field devices and SCADA communication issues.
  • Learn to deploy ML/AI, BI dashboards, and other extended solutions within Weatherford products.
  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.
  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation.
  • Graduation Year: 2023-2025.
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
  • A strong work ethic and leadership potential.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment.
