About the position

The Nexus Product Manager for Insurance at EY is a managerial role within the Products and Platforms practice, focusing on product management and development. This position is responsible for the overall success of insurance products, including profitability and business value. The manager will develop product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies while ensuring that new products meet user needs and market demands. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and deliver complex technical initiatives with a focus on quality and risk management.
  • Lead workstream delivery and track project status.
  • Manage engagement economics and resource planning.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and lead specific RFP responses.
  • Develop cohesive strategic technical visions for products that align with market ambitions.
  • Collaborate with product leaders and stakeholders to define product strategies through user interviews and market analysis.
  • Lead product definition and discovery activities, including building product roadmaps and managing backlogs.
  • Manage and train Product Analysts in product activities.
  • Gather and analyze user and market feedback to inform product iterations.
  • Lead product launch activities and support go-to-market strategies.
  • Define, track, and monitor product performance metrics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience as a product manager in a tech company.
  • Extensive experience in product management from conceptualization to post-release management.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills.
  • Demonstrated technical acumen with experience in data services, APIs, and cloud-based solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data platforms and their business applications.
  • Experience working with technical teams and understanding the software development process.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience in product management building products from 0-1.
  • Insurance industry experience in building technology products across Core Functions like Underwriting and Re-insurance.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Experience in design thinking and service design.
