NHLA Certified Hardwood Lumber Grader

About the position

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardwood Lumber Grader to join our team. As a Grader, you will be responsible for inspecting and grading various hardwoods to ensure they meet quality standards. This is a critical role in our organization as it directly impacts the quality of our products.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and grade lumber according to NHLA quality standards
• Grade and mark all lumber to be sorted according to NHLA rules/guidelines and industry standards

Requirements

• NHLA certification
• 2 to 3 years of experience grading green and kiln dried hardwoods
• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and their proper usage
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or non-conformities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
