Solvere Technical Group is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to support Navy sustainment engineering and integration efforts. This position requires a Secret clearance and is specifically for candidates who are U.S. citizens residing in San Diego County. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, particularly with Windows systems, SQL Server, and IIS, as well as experience in managing and implementing technical solutions that ensure service continuity and data exchange with external systems. The role involves ensuring that integration changes to legacy systems minimize risks associated with technical refresh efforts, and that updated versions are compatible with earlier versions as designated by the Government. The System Administrator will be responsible for deployment planning, installation verification, and testing to ensure that each technical solution operates effectively within the system environment. This includes providing comprehensive software release packages and supporting documentation to facilitate installation and data migration by the existing Government workforce or third-party designees. The candidate will also be expected to implement modularity and open systems architecture improvements to reduce life-cycle costs of the systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as the individual will serve as a resource for others in the organization, addressing both common and unusual issues that arise. Candidates must possess a degree in engineering, computer science, or a related STEM field, or have an Associates Degree with four years of relevant technical work experience. A minimum of 10 years of system administration experience is required, along with the ability to build relationships with various stakeholders, including government technical representatives and other contractors. Excellent written and oral communication skills are necessary, as is the ability to work independently or collaboratively in a team environment. Prior Navy experience and familiarity with NIAPS, CANES, ISNS, and other related systems are highly desirable.
