About the position

The Nifi Systems Engineer position is a contract role based in Westlake, Texas, requiring extensive experience in Apache Nifi administration and support for various ETL tools. The role involves working with cloud platforms and database management systems to ensure effective data processing and system support.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support Apache Nifi and related ETL tools such as Kafka, Informatica, and Talend.
• Utilize scripting languages like Shell, Python, Perl, or JavaScript for automation and system management.
• Support and manage applications on AWS Cloud.
• Manipulate and manage data using SQL and PL/SQL and other database programming languages.
• Debug and resolve issues within existing systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
• 5+ years of experience in Apache Nifi Administration.
• 5+ years of experience supporting Kafka, Informatica, Talend, or other ETL tools.
• 5+ years of scripting and automation experience using Shell, Perl, or Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with standard DBMS systems like Oracle, SQL, or DB2.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cloud Data Warehousing solutions like Snowflake.
• Understanding of big data ecosystems such as Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Zookeeper.
