About the position

The Night Auditor is responsible for maintaining accurate records of hotel sales transactions and providing assistance to guests during evening and overnight hours. This role involves auditing daily guest ledgers, verifying and balancing entries, and preparing management reports, ensuring a smooth operation during the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Audit daily guest ledger
• Collect entries from all departments
• Verify and balance entries
• Rectify discrepancies
• Ensure accurate folio charges
• Prepare management reports
• Keep housekeeping informed of any special requests or changes, including late check-outs
• Communicate with the next shift by logging pertinent information in the front desk log
• Adhere to all work ethics, procedures, and policies as outlined in the handbook

Requirements

• Experience in hotel operations or front desk management
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently during night hours
• Good communication skills
• Basic accounting knowledge

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a night auditor
• Familiarity with hotel management software
