About the position

The Night Audit position at Best Western University Inn involves managing guest registrations, balancing hotel financials during the overnight shift, and providing excellent customer service. This part-time role requires handling check-ins and check-outs, resolving guest inquiries, and ensuring a smooth operation during the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
• Account for and balance the hotel financials on the overnight shift each day.
• Pre-register, block reservations, and take same-day reservations following hotel rate structures and discounts.
• Handle guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with hotel credit/cash handling policies.
• Resolve customer complaints and assist customers with inquiries about hotel services and local attractions.
• Cancel room reservations according to procedures.
• Walk customers in a professional manner if the hotel is at full capacity or in extenuating circumstances.
• Show guests to their rooms and assist with luggage.
• Explain hotel facilities, their locations, hours of operation, and answer questions about these facilities.
• Check luggage for hotel guests for both day and overnight stays.

Requirements

• Experience in night audit or similar role is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to handle financial transactions accurately.
• Good communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in hospitality or hotel management.
• Familiarity with hotel management software.
