About the position

The Night Auditor and Hotel Operations Support role at Courtyard Scottsdale Old Town involves managing end-of-day activities, processing payments, and ensuring guest satisfaction during night shifts. This position is crucial for maintaining the hotel's financial integrity and providing excellent service to guests, particularly those without reservations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-of-day activities such as recording charges, executing night audit backups, and changing the date.
  • Process all types of payments including accommodation expenses and cash, check, or credit/debit card transactions.
  • Handle adjustment vouchers, disbursements, amendment vouchers, and miscellaneous charges.
  • Print emergency lists to keep a record of all guests in case of emergencies.
  • Sell rooms or accommodations to guests without reservations based on availability.
  • Manage the central telephone terminal, process wake-up call requests, and inform guests of any messages received.
  • Complete the 'Room Rate Variance Report'.
  • Process guest check-ins and assign rooms.
  • Activate or issue new room keys using the electronic key machine.
  • Count the cash drawer at the end of the shift; secure the cash drawer.
  • Balance and deliver receipts according to accounting specifications.
  • Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address their service needs; thank them with genuine appreciation; assist individuals with disabilities.
  • Communicate with others using clear and professional language; answer phones using appropriate protocol.
  • Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to achieve common goals.
  • Adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
  • Less than 1 year of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific license or certification needed.
