About the position

The Night Auditor-Front Desk Agent is responsible for managing the front desk operations during the overnight shift, typically from 11 PM to 7 AM. This role involves preparing and processing all Night Audit work, registering guests, making reservations, balancing transactions, and conducting security walks. The Night Auditor ensures a friendly and efficient service experience for guests while maintaining compliance with hotel standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Register guests and manage reservations during the overnight shift.
  • Prepare daily reports and balance transactions as part of the Night Audit process.
  • Conduct security walks to ensure the safety of the hotel premises.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming as per brand standards.
  • Initiate and complete the End of Day process and run required reports for Food and Beverage audit.
  • Complete the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily.
  • Handle guest requests and ensure timely follow-up on all inquiries during the night shift.
  • Maintain proper record keeping and log books according to hotel standards.
  • Train new Night Auditors as requested by management.
  • Prepare and distribute the Daily Flash Report as needed.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field required.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles and ability to work with financial information.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems and company-approved spreadsheets and word processing.
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot guest issues effectively.
  • Experience in a supervisory role preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous hotel experience is a plus.
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
