About the position

The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring a seamless overnight experience for hotel guests, providing exceptional customer service, and performing essential accounting functions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage guest check-ins and check-outs, handle billing inquiries, and maintain accurate records while creating a welcoming environment. The Night Auditor will also oversee staff during the night shift and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Create memorable experiences for guests and team members.
  • Provide best-in-class personalized service to every guest.
  • Accurately perform all guest accounting functions according to established hotel procedures.
  • Maintain accurate record keeping, including posting, settling, and confirming charges.
  • Handle cash and billing inquiries, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Greet and welcome hotel guests in an energetic manner.
  • Invoke service recovery when appropriate and assist with special requests.
  • Ensure professional communication and urgency in handling tasks.
  • Supervise customer check-in, check-out, and luggage transportation.
  • Act as a role model for other employees and ensure compliance with grooming standards.
  • Report to Front Office Supervisors and Management regarding any issues.
  • Resolve customer complaints effectively and courteously.
  • Schedule staff breaks and maintain attendance records.
  • Assist Security in emergency matters and ensure audit functions are secure.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must be 21 years of age and able to obtain a Missouri Gaming License.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Knowledgeable in data entry and able to read and interpret computer output.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately.
  • Detail-oriented with a polished appearance and professional demeanor.
  • Guest service experience is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Office, Outlook, and Excel is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.
