About the position
The Hilton Irvine/Orange County Airport is seeking a dedicated Night Auditor to join their team. This role is crucial for overseeing the auditing, posting, and balancing of daily financial transactions, which supports the hotel's commitment to delivering outstanding guest service and ensuring financial profitability. The hotel features 306 guest rooms and is conveniently located near popular destinations such as Newport Beach, South Coast Plaza, and the Irvine Spectrum shopping centers. The ideal candidate will have at least six months of hotel experience and the ability to work independently, acting as the manager on duty during night shifts. Knowledge of Hilton Systems is a plus, but not mandatory. As a Night Auditor, you will be responsible for performing various tasks to the highest standards. This includes auditing, posting, and balancing daily cashiers' work for various outlets, including Rooms and Food and Beverage. You will also ensure that the credit card system reconciles with daily transaction lists. Additionally, you will schedule and assign daily work, inform and train team members, and monitor and evaluate their performance. This position requires a self-starter who can work well independently, as you will be the only front desk person on duty during your shift. Flexibility is essential, as you may need to pick up shifts on other days based on hotel needs.
Responsibilities
- Audit, post and balance daily cashiers' work for outlets including Rooms and Food and Beverage.
- Ensure credit card system reconciles to daily transaction lists.
- Schedule and assign daily work for team members.
- Inform and train team members on their tasks and responsibilities.
- Monitor, observe, and assist in evaluating team member performance.
- Act as the only front desk person on duty during night shifts.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of hotel experience.
- Ability to work independently as acting manager on duty.
- Knowledge of Hilton Systems is a plus.
